The Desert Hills Shop is located on the upper level adjacent to the GVR Clerk's office.
The head monitor is Duncan Creed. Shop hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
on Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to Noon, on Saturday.

This center conducts classes in Silver Smithing - Making mounting for stones and then mounting,
Casting - Making molds to make wax patterns, making patterns, making molds,
then melting metal and pouring to get the finished jewelry and Channeling - Making
frames for stones then cutting stones to insert in the frames.

Artisans jewelry is made available for purchase and displayed in cases for your conveniennce.

" Delft clay casting system- We haven't discovered its secrets yet, but will shortly. It eliminates the lost wax process in casting and is for fairly simple pieces.
" Watch band pin remover for frictional pins.
" Stepped loop- making pliers
" Stone crimping pliers
" Stone carving wheel-1/4 inch
" Flat sanding belt.
" 4&6 thin kerf trim saws.
" Dapping blocks for making curved metal shapes.
