LINDA GERMAIN - DIGITAL ARTISTRY ENHANCER Unknowingly,
Linda Germain, prepared herself for a retirement career, while working
as a Histologist. She created and printed microscopic images from tissue
cells in such an interesting array of patterns and colors, doctors hung
them in their offices and homes. Currently, she creates digital images
or photographs for specialty covers on beautifully crafted cherry or
maple wood boxes. In her spare time, Linda volunteers in the Reading
Seed Rotary Club project at Maldonado School in the Pasqua Yaqui Reservation

DIANE WEST - GOURDS EMBELLISHER Having been born to
a family of artists, Diane West, was encouraged in that field and majored
in Fine Arts. Because of the variety in shapes and colors, Diane, creates,
only one-of-a-kind gourds. "It is impossible to become bored with such
an interesting and challenging Art Form, nature's gift, The Gourd".
She tries to embody the spirit of the gourd with her artistic treatment,
as do Hope Native Americans, on their Kachina Dolls

BARBARA HAGEN - CHAIN MAKER Barbara Hagen, a seasoned
Chain Maker and Lead Instructor in Chain Making Classes offered by the
Green Valley Lapidary and Silversmith Club. She says, "Chain Making
is fun to do and can lead to many creative patterns", which she and
other chain makers share. Other chain making ideas are taken from Crafts
Magazine. Barb, keeps extremely busy as she is also a Lapidary Club
Board Member and monitor at one of their three Workshops.

MIKE GILBERTSON - GLASS ARTIST Upon retiring, hoping
to get away from a pressure job and wet weather in the Pacific Northwest,
Mike Gilbertson, moved to sometimes soggy Green Valley. In Green Valley,
he was looking for something to do and took classes in Stained and Fused
Glass. He discovered great affinity and talent in Glass Art. His work
has been displayed in various local shows and he has also taught Glass
Fusing and Dichoric Jewelry making in Green Valley and Pima Community
College. Mike has found working with glass to be most gratifying.
